We read everything sent to us, and we welcome corrections most of all. What we cannot do is advise on an individual dog’s health or behaviour, because that needs a professional who can actually see your dog.

Mind A Dog does not take email or contact-form enquiries. We are reachable through social media instead, and we check those channels regularly; links will appear here as soon as our accounts are live. If you have spotted something that needs a correction, see below for what to include.
What to write to us about
Corrections
If you have spotted something on Mind A Dog that is wrong, out of date, or misleading, please tell us. Point us at the page and tell us what the problem is. We would far rather fix an article than defend it. Corrections are handled under our Editorial and Veterinary Policy.
Topic requests
If there is a question about your dog that you cannot find a straight answer to anywhere, send it. Questions from readers are one of the main ways we decide what to write next.
Business and press
We do not take advertising enquiries, partnership proposals, permission requests or press questions through this site. Reach us through our social media accounts instead, once those links are live here.
Privacy and data requests
Requests about personal data, including access and deletion requests, are not handled through this page. See our Privacy Policy for what we do and do not collect, and for how to reach us about it.
What we cannot help with
We cannot advise on your individual dog. That is not us being unhelpful, it is the one limit that actually matters.
- We cannot say what is wrong with a dog, or what is causing a symptom
- We cannot recommend medication, supplements, doses or treatments
- We cannot build a behaviour modification plan for a specific dog remotely
- We cannot assess whether a dog is safe around a particular person or animal
Every one of those needs someone who can examine or observe your dog directly. Please speak to your own vet, or to a qualified behaviourist or accredited trainer.
If your dog needs help right now
If your dog is unwell, injured, or you are worried about their safety, do not write to us and wait. Ring your vet, or your local out-of-hours emergency veterinary service. That is always the right call, and no vet will think less of you for ringing.
